“ACROSS THE DIVIDE”

Politics and theatre join forces once more for the biggest, brightest, and best Political Theatre Festival yet! This year includes new plays from local and national Latino playwrights which explore geo-political and gender divides. Immigration, women’s issues, and social justice are just a few of the topics that will be addressed on the stage.

A girl from El Salvador comes to Los Angeles and undergoes a series of surgeries to restore her smile. This piece touches on the ironies of life as an immigrant in the US and how something as simple as smiling can change your life.
