Hello!
I am Paulino Brener, a passionate Argentinian educator and entrepreneur who has been living and working in the United States for more than 20 years. My career has been deeply linked to teaching Spanish, both to children and adults, in face-to-face and online modalities. My approach to teaching is driven by creativity, technology and a passion for languages and cultures. Always supporting and basing myself on Comprehensible Input and acquisition theories.
I began my path in education in Argentina but I had the great opportunity to train and grow as a language teacher working at the Concordia Language Villages summer camps. And now I am very proud to have a Master’s Degree in Second Language Education from the University of Minnesota. Since then, I have had the privilege of teaching at various institutions, including Minneapolis Public Schools and Normandale Community College.
I am co-founder of Didactas.com, a platform dedicated to the professional development of language teachers. At Didactas, we organize live events, workshops and conferences, such as the Conferencia ELE and la Conferencia de Profesores Online where we share best practices and innovative tools for teaching. But my favorite lecture at Didactas is “Adquisición en el Aula” where we explore new ways of teaching languages based on language acquisition theories. It’s my passion!
My training as an actor has been an integral part of my educational approach. I firmly believe that creativity and imagination are essential for effective learning. In addition to strategies based on Comprehensible Input and acquisition theories, I use theater techniques to engage my students and foster a dynamic and participatory learning environment. This approach not only makes classes more entertaining, but also helps students connect more deeply with the language and culture.
I am excited to continue exploring new ways to enrich Spanish teaching and to collaborate with other passionate educators. If you are interested in learning more or collaborating, don’t hesitate to contact me!
Paulino Brener
